Why VeloryTales Is the Best Free Platform for Writers and Readers

There are many places to read and write online, but most of them were built for big publishers or for scrolling, not for stories. VeloryTales was created by indie writers for indie writers and the readers who love them. Here is what makes the platform different and why thousands of people use it to read free stories and publish their own work.

Read free stories and books without barriers

Readers can open books, chapters and blog articles instantly — no paywall in front of every page and no sign-up required to start reading articles. Romance, fantasy, horror, thriller, poetry and real-life stories are all in one place, organised by genre so you always find something that matches your mood.

Writers keep 90% of their earnings

When authors sell a book on VeloryTales, they keep 90% of the revenue. We believe the person who wrote the story should earn from it. Authors can mix free chapters to build an audience with paid books for their most loyal fans.

Every article and book gets its own page

Each article, book and author profile on VeloryTales has a unique, clean web address with its own title and description. That means your work can appear in Google search results and be shared on WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram or X with a proper preview card.

Write blogs, not just books

Not every idea needs to be a novel. With the VeloryTales blog anyone can write their own article — a writing tip, a book review, a personal story or a reading list — and add images to make it beautiful. Articles help new writers get discovered and give readers something fresh every day.

A real community

Readers can follow authors, like books, react to posts in the community feed and join writing events. Founders and moderators review books to keep quality high, and badges reward active members.

Built for every device

VeloryTales works in any browser on phone, tablet or computer, and can be installed as an app on Android. Reading progress is saved, so you can continue a book exactly where you left off.

• Readers: open the Discover page or the Blog and start reading for free.
