No. Every book page on VeloryTales shows the cover, full synopsis, genre, author details and a free reading preview without signing in. You only need a free account when you want to save books to your library, continue where you left off across devices, like a story or follow an author.
Books are published as EPUB or PDF and open in our built-in reader — no download, no extra app. The reader keeps your place, supports full-screen page turns and works on phones, tablets and desktop browsers.
Most titles are free to read in full. Some authors set a price on their book; on those pages you will see the price next to the Buy button, and a free preview is always available first so you know what you are paying for. See pricing for details.
Start with Discover for trending titles, browse by genre (fantasy, romance, thriller, horror, poetry, sci-fi, mystery and non-fiction), or follow writers from the authors directory to get their new releases in your feed.
Any independent writer, worldwide. Create a free account, choose the author role, complete your author profile (pen name, bio, genres, avatar) and your dashboard unlocks. There is no application queue and no upfront fee.
An EPUB or PDF file of your manuscript, a cover image, a title, a synopsis and a genre. You can also add tags, a subtitle and a short book trailer video. Everything is editable after publishing.
New books enter a pending state and are checked manually before they appear publicly. This is usually done within a couple of days. We check for copyright ownership, readable formatting and content that matches our terms of service.
Yes. You keep full copyright and can unpublish at any time. VeloryTales only receives a licence to host and display your book while it is published on the platform.
Authors receive 90% of the sale price of their books; VeloryTales keeps 10% to cover payment processing and hosting. Earnings are shown in real time in your author dashboard.
Add your payout account in the author dashboard. Balances are paid out once the payout account is verified, and every completed payout appears in your earnings history with its date and amount.
Card payments are processed securely by Stripe. VeloryTales never stores your card details. Purchases are digital goods — read our refund policy before buying.
Use "Forgot password" on the sign-in screen. We email you a six-digit code (no magic links). Enter the code and choose a new password. Codes expire after a short time, so request a fresh one if it has been sitting in your inbox.
Yes. Google sign-in is available on the sign-in screen, and on supported phones and laptops you can enable fingerprint or Face ID unlock from your settings after signing in once with a password.

Yes — VeloryTales installs as an app on Android and iOS from the Install App button in the navigation, with push notifications for new releases from authors you follow.
Email us with the book URL, proof of ownership and your contact details. Verified claims are removed quickly and repeat infringers lose their publishing access.
Tell us the page address, your device and browser, and what you were doing. Screenshots help a lot. Most reading issues are fixed by refreshing once, since the reader caches large files.
